Responsibilities for audio
• Set out audio test plans with the QA team to test and debug audio components
• Participate in playtests, debugging and audio feature documentation
• Help create audio clips, and sound designs for shipping game samples
• Conceptualize, design, and prototype audio tools and workflows for the games market
• Responsible for overall audio operation of studio and control room.
• Maintain and propagate audio systems and workflows
• Learn in-house audio tools and participate in their development with the core tech group
• Long term goals are to participate in the growth of a strong audio programmer community in the Toronto studio
• Be responsible for any audio tech issues that might arise, and find the most efficient solutions to fix them
• Collaborate with our engine team to test audio tools and suggest improvements
Qualifications for audio
• 3-5 years experience in broadcast/media production with an emphasis on
audio • Solid experience with the production process including sound and lighting
shot composition
• Proficiency in DRM systems such as AACS or PlayReady
• Contribution or development in ffmpeg
• Machine learning and audio feature extraction know-how
